Hi, I'm Sally.

Former classroom teacher, founder of Simplify It Tutoring, and a mom who has spent more evenings than I'd like to admit sitting at the kitchen table with a frustrated kid and a pile of homework.
​
For me, it started with my own son.
​
When he reached Pre-Algebra, confidence disappeared almost overnight. Homework became a nightly battle, simple mistakes felt like personal failures, and he slowly started believing he "just wasn't a math kid."
​
I refused to accept that label.
​
With the right explanations, the right pacing, and support that actually made sense to him, everything changed.
​
One day he looked up and said the words every parent hopes to hear:
​

"Wait... I can actually do this."
​​
That moment changed everything.
​
​
It reminded me that struggling students aren't lacking ability — they're often missing the right teacher, the right approach, or simply the confidence to keep trying.

That's why I created Simplify It Tutoring.
​
What began as one Algebra teacher helping local families has grown into a team of experienced classroom educators who genuinely love what they teach.
Every tutor at Simplify It specializes in their subject—from Elementary reading and math to Middle and High School ELA, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Spanish, SAT Prep, and College-level support.

We believe students learn best from teachers who are passionate about their subject and even more passionate about helping kids discover that they are capable of succeeding.

While our list of subjects has grown over the years, our mission has stayed exactly the same:

Simplify It
Began
Algebra is where many students hit their first real academic wall, and where confidence either collapses or gets rebuilt. It’s the class that convinces too many kids they’re “bad at math,” when in reality they’re simply missing clarity and support.

Our Algebra 1 EOC Crash Course has helped students pass Florida’s state-mandated Algebra 1 End of Course exam ON THE FIRST TRY 94% of the time, compared to the Florida state average of less than 50% for first-time test takers.

I’ve worked with hundreds of Algebra students, and I can say this with confidence:

I have yet to meet a student who cannot do Algebra.

They may not understand it yet, but they absolutely can learn it.

Because parents kept asking for the same clear, confidence-building support beyond Algebra, we expanded in 2024.

Today, Simplify It Tutoring supports students through live, online lessons only, delivered by Florida-based educators located throughout the state. This allows families anywhere in Florida to work with the right teacher, not just the closest one.
